Google Hangouts is a Software product developed by Google for communication. It was initially released on May 15, 2015. It is a great platform for family or friends who want to foregather and can be very useful for Organizations for conducting virtual meetings. It is a versatile tool. It consist of voice, video and chat exchanges. But if there is no reason for you to use Google Hangouts but keep getting requests, it can be really annoying, isn't it?
It can be a good idea to delete Google Hangouts but it isn't that easy to delete a Google Hangouts account. It is not possible to delete Hangouts account without deleting your Google account. It is built-in Google account so the only way to delete Hangouts account is to delete Google account entirely. However, you can alter some settings to make it less obtrusive.
Follow these steps on your Personal computer or MAC:
• Click the three dots at the top-left which opens the menu and then click to Settings.
• Go to Customize invite settings
• Change the option under people with your phone number' and 'People with your email address' to 'Can
contact you directly'.
• Under 'Everyone else' choose 'Can't send invites.
• Finally, click on your profile at the top-right of the screen and click to 'Sign out'.
After making these changes, Noone can contact you directly although people with your info cant still invite you to Hangouts. You can also consider turning off Hangouts notifications in your settings or even delete your Hangouts app.
